Siamo ormai vicini al prossimo (il settimo!) appuntamento con il BEHAVIOURAL ECOLOGY MEETING, che quest'anno si svolgerà in presenza nella nostra bellissima sede di Chioggia (Venezia). Aggiorneremo il sito il prima possibile con informazioni e programma.

Behavioral Ecology Meeting (BEM 2023)
University of Padova Hydrobiological Station
Palazzo Grassi, Chioggia (VE), 9-10 February 2023
Please consider participating with a talk or a poster. It will be wonderful to meet again in person and share our results, ideas, and future projects. The vibe of the conference will be informal as always, no-frills and free to attend. Amazing and affordable local food and wine is available within tens of meters of the venue, including for the banquet/cena sociale on the 9th.
Highlights include
To apply for a mobility fellowship, please send your CV and a one-paragraph motivation letter to [email protected]. Evaluations for the awards and mobility fellowships will be performed by the scientific committee.
Please send your participation form here by the 10th of January, to give us time to plan the meeting and activities.
The meeting occurs during the Venice Carnival. We suggest booking accommodations ASAP. here are a few recommended places among many small hotels and Airbnb’s within easy walking distance.
San Domenico B&B - Casa San Cristoforo B&B - Casa Domus Clugiae
Note that accommodations in Sottomarina are at least 30 min away from Palazzo Grassi (walking).
There are frequent direct buses from Marco Polo airport, Venice train and ferry stations, and Padova, and hourly trains to Rovigo. An hourly ferry connects downtown Chioggia to the Lido and central Venice.

- roundtable discussion on sexual selection with David Shuker, Julien Renoult, and Tami Mendelson
- special session in memory of Matteo Griggio featuring his trainees and collaborators.
